Hilarious story of a couple of kids whose lives turn from boring to adventure overnight.

A dream of adventure, a couple of kids, a dog, a cat, and the world's most feared killer . . . This story had me laughing out loud often.

I found the adventures of this family outrageous for the most part, with enough fun for kids and adults to enjoy. While the parents learn to deal with a daydreamer, Hector learns a bit of self-control.

This story was so much fun to read, I will be looking for more by this author.

. . . the narration is excellent . . . A few chapters in and I was a convert. This is one of the funniest stories I have listened to, ever!

I had no idea what was going to happen next, but it was often hilarious . . . The book is an adventure, with guns, car chases and lots of damage that seems aimed at boys, but my daughter liked it just as much.

Overall, if you want something for adults and children that makes a very long journey seem like a short one, then get the audiobook.

Hector Trogg's Perfect World is a unique book . . . exciting both for the young, and the young at heart.

To be honest, this isn't a book I would typically pick up . . . Once I started reading, however, I was glad I gave it a chance. The story isn't just a book for 'kids' . . . some of the challenges the characters deal with bring a maturity to this story I feel is missing in a lot of novels in this age range.

I had the chance to listen to the audio book, and it traveled with me on several car rides. P. A. Booth is a wonderful narrator, and I could really imagine parents sitting down and sharing this with their kids.

Well-written, engaging and willing to tackle hard subjects, I enjoyed the story and see promise in the books to come.

Excellent Adventure

It's Dennis the menace on steroids. This action-adventure keeps the pages turning. Great characterization and a fast-paced plot keep you glued.

If you're up for adventure, this book is for you. I rate this book a five-star read.

The bond between siblings is bound to change as they grow up, and the author did a good job at providing realistic glimpses of how such intelligent and resourceful characters work together. Some of my favourite scenes in this story involve Hector and Kate's shifting relationship. They can be very competitive at times but are never cruel.

P.A. Booth has a wonderful sense of humour . . . I particularly liked how the author repeats certain jokes and includes references to previous shenanigans as the plot progresses. Given the serious subject matter in certain chapters, these running gags also provided a much-needed break from the building tension.

I'd recommend Hector Trogg's Perfect World to anyone in the mood for adventure. There is plenty of it to be found between these pages!

This book is an awesome read, and this is the review for it!

A few weeks ago, I was given a copy of Hector Trogg by the school's librarian to read and give my opinion. It was definitely a good read, and I really enjoyed it.

Honestly, this was one of the best books I have ever read . . . I have no doubt that you will enjoy it.

I was asked to read and review this book by my teacher. I loved it!

It was a book that I didn't want to put down because it was so exciting all the way through. The adventure that Hector and his family went through was both thrilling and written in great detail. My favourite part of the book is when the family get attacked at the zoo, because it was both tense and funny at the same time!

I would recommend this book to children aged about 9-13 and to people who enjoy Anthony Horrowitz, Alex Ryder books, as I found it quite similar.

A perfect book!

We certainly found this book extremely spectacular! Our favourite parts were when Irvine Deeds arrived and wanted attention, however wasn't getting any. Therefore, he wanted the subject to change... The reason why we thoroughly enjoyed this part was because we could really picture and hear the characters speak (and we thought it was hilarious.) We also found this part fascinating, when Rothwell would make such a magnificent scream at such little things. Consequently, nobody took him very seriously. We found this book equally funny as well as scary. We learnt that even thugs can't beat the cleverly organized minds. What do you suppose? Read the book and find out...

Hector Trogg's Perfect World is a fun, exciting book with humour and action in every chapter. There are funny characters such as Mrs Warp and Lord Rothwell. It is the best book I've ever read.
